On an ordinary day in his early teens, Cam’s mum made him an extraordinary promise: one day, she would take him on a helicopter ride. The thought of soaring high above the world filled Cam with excitement, and that dream became a beacon of hope for him. However, life doesn’t always unfold the way we plan, and as the years passed, that promised helicopter ride remained just a dream.
But Cam never lost hope. He held onto that dream for 37 years, believing that one day it would come true. When Cam began receiving support from NZCL, he shared his story with our team, and we knew we had to do everything we could to help make that dream a reality.
